Supporting Students Through Peer Tutoring and Mentoring
At Peer Genius, we provide children and teens with trained peer tutors and mentors who offer academic guidance, motivation and personalised learning. Our programmes support students in schools, home education, private tuition and hospital settings. They help learners overcome challenges, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Whether your child needs help with GCSEs, A-levels or other key assessments, Peer Genius matches them with a peer tutor or mentor who understands their challenges and can provide tailored support. Our approach combines academic learning with motivation and mentoring, helping students develop study skills, improve grades and feel supported every step of the way.
For Parents
Peer Genius connects your child with a trained peer tutor and mentor who provides academic support and encouragement. Many of our tutors have overcome challenges themselves or have relevant lived experience, helping them relate to and inspire learners.
Examples of how we help students:
- Your child is preparing for GCSEs and needs extra support in maths or science; a peer tutor and mentor who has very recently sat the exam or is predicted a high grade works through exam-style questions and explains tricky concepts in a relatable way.
- A home-educated teen wants to develop study skills and build confidence in writing; a peer tutor and mentor who has recently navigated similar assignments or exams guides them through structured learning sessions and provides regular, personalised feedback.
- A student returning to school after illness or absence needs support to catch up and settle in; a peer tutor and mentor who has recently experienced similar challenges provides both academic guidance and encouragement, helping them regain confidence and feel supported.
These sessions build confidence, improve understanding and help your child make real progress.
What we offer:
- One-to-one or small group peer tutoring and mentoring, online or in person
- Academic support and confidence-building
- Relatable role models who encourage motivation, resilience, social skills and confidence
For Schools
